Welcome to the home of champions where students push themselves to the limit on the mat, at the game, and in the classroom. Cheerleading as been a part of the SFA Spirit landscape for over 70 years and serves as the ambassador for spirit and Lumberjack pride at SFA. Made up of 2 squads; the Large Coed and Small Coed plus the Lumberjack and Ladyjack mascots, these students participate in Lumberjack football, volleyball and basketball games as well as compete in the NCA Collegiate Nationals Championships. Both are nationally ranked and competitive.

SFA Spirit Squad members are there for homecoming, in the battle for Chief Caddo, and in the community. They bleed purple and know that a victory may be up to them. Like the teams that they support, the SFA Spirit creed is to work hard and be the best.

SFA Spirit is about having fun. From traveling all over the country to football and basketball games, taking a day to hit the beach in Daytona, or running out with the football team at Homecoming, being a member of the Spirit Team is fun and exciting. At SFA, the Spirit Squads are the focus of attention, but that comes with great responsibility. SFA Spirit students are expected to set an example. So if you are ready to be a part of something special, look at trying out for one of our teams.

Both of the SFA Cheer Squads received bids at the 2008 NCA Collegiate Camp this year. Along with their full paid bid, the Large Coed Squad won the Division I Spirit Routine Competition and Best All Around. The Small Coed team took home second place in the Small Coed Division I Spirit Routine Competition along with their partial paid bid to the 2009 NCA Collegiate National Championships held in Daytona Beach, Florida in April. Each team did a phenomenal job representing themselves and their school. Congratulations again on a job well done!!
