The SFASU Large and Small Coed
teams both consist of male and female cheerleaders.
The current Small Coed squad
consists of 17 females and 6 males, and the Large Coed squad has
11 females and 18 males.
The Small Coed Team cheers
at all home football, basketball, and volleyball games, while
the Large Coed cheers at all football, home basketball, and volleyball
games.
Both teams compete at the NCA
Collegiate National Championships in Daytona Beach, Florida every
April.
Small Coed will be returning
to the competition in Small Coed Divison I
The Large Coed Squad will compete
for their 6th consecutive national title in Large Coed Divison
I.
Both teams have an incredible
amount of talent this year, and can't wait to showcase it!
Small Coed hopes to start a
legacy, while Large Coed hopes to continue theirs.
The Large Coed team is currently
ranked # 1 in the nation, while the Small Coed team is ranked
9th.
Both of the
SFA Cheer Squads received bids at the 2007 NCA Collegiate Camp
this year. Along with their full paid bid, the Large Coed Squad
won the Division I Spirit Routine Competition, Division I Game
Day Competition, and Best All Around. The Small Coed team took
home second place in the Small Coed Division I Spirit Routine
Competition along with their partial paid bid to the 2008 NCA
Collegiate National Championships held in Daytona Beach, Florida
in April. Each team did a phenomenal job representing themselves
and their school. Congratulations again on a job well done!!
